Back in the USA. Paintings on canvas and 3-dimensional objects.
Images below are of work done in the 42nd Street studio, New York, 1987.
After the return from Italy in the spring of 1987, I continued the work with names begun in the Pescina studio in the previous year. Actually a return to the use of names as objects, first explored in 1981 with the early Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock paintings.
This time, I was primarily using encaustic tinted with dry pigments on canvas.
